By way of an artist's statement:
To me, creating each piece is like an unveiling. A constant discovery of a form that is revealed by tapping into something greater than myself and getting into "the zone"... It is the process of aligning myself with nothing, reaching into the proverbial etherial "bag" of creativity, and pulling out what's there. It's typical that rather than go into the detail of a specific, I tend to try to express a mood or emotion with each piece- an experience that is usually as trying as it is vastly enjoyable. Besides, it gives me something to do with my hands.
Since starting Ardistry in 1999, I've gravitated toward two major themes- equine and celestial; I still have a love for both and along with mythological themes they continue to be my favorite subjects to sculpt.
Thanks for visiting Ardistry, please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions. See all contact info in, of course, "contact us."
